Intellectual Property Litigation

Enrique William Iturralde is a Partner at Fabricant LLP. Enrique represents a vast array of clients in complex patent litigation, patent prosecution, and strategic IP portfolio management. A former primary patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Enrique's technical experience spans a broad range of cutting-edge technologies in the fields of consumer electronics, semiconductor devices, medical devices, telemedicine systems, vehicular systems, electronic displays, power tools, map-based software, fintech applications, communications networks, cloud computing, graphical and touch-less interfaces, and athletic footwear.

 

Enrique has represented petitioners and patent owners in over 140 inter partes review (IPR), post-grant review (PGR), and covered business method (CBM) proceedings before the Patent and Trial Appeal Board (PTAB). Enrique also litigates high-stakes patent disputes in various district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Federal Circuit. In addition to litigation, Enrique uses his patent examination know-how to pursue and enforce patent rights for independent inventors, small businesses, and multinational corporations. 

 

Prior to joining Fabricant LLP, Enrique was an associate at Brown Rudnick LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP. During law school, Enrique served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Michael J. Davis, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.

  • Represent software developer in patent infringement actions involving remote location tracking and location sharing technologies (E.D. Tex., PTAB ).

  • Represent asset manager in patent infringement actions involving computer processor power management and a wallet mobile payment technologies (E.D. Tex., PTAB).

  • Represent research lab in patent infringement action involving speech recognition technologies (E.D. Tex., PTAB).

  • Represented global apparel brand in defense of patent infringement claims involving sneakers and soccer cleats (D. Mass.).
